What kind of hardware or software do I need to play the games?
Our games will run on just about any make, model or brand computer (with the exception of WebTV). However, we recommend a Pentium computer with 128 megabytes or more of memory, and either Netscape Navigator version 6.0 or above or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.1 (and above). If you are trying to access the games using a Netscape browser you will need to have the Java Runtime Plugin. Click here to download.
Mac users can play too, as long as they have a computer that will support Java. To play the games on a Mac platform you must be using the Apple Java Virtual Machine 2.2.2 or greater and be using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or above.

I can't see the games properly on my monitor. What can I do?
In order to see our games properly on your computer monitor, you need to make sure that the "Screen Area" in your Display settings is set large enough.
Here is how to check your screen area settings in MS Windows:
Click on the "Start" button on your Windows task bar.
Click on "Settings."
Then click on "Control Panel."
Double-click on the "Display" icon (monitor).
When the Display window opens, click on the "Settings" tab.
Look at the "Screen Area" setting in the lower right corner of the Display window.
Move the bar to make sure the Screen Area is set to at least 800 x 600.
If your computer allows it, we recommend a Screen Area setting of 1024x768, or higher. The larger the Screen Area setting, the more you will be able to see on the screen at one time.

I clicked on a game and nothing happened. What's wrong?
Sometimes, the Java games take a little time to load. Here are a couple of things to consider:
If you are using a slow modem connection, the games may take 1 to 2 minutes to load the very first time you play.
If you have the correct configuration, your Java Support may be turned off. Check your "preferences" in your browser "properties" to make sure you have not disabled Java.
If the game screen comes up but none of the game-functions works, try to reload the games: Hold down the left "Control" key and at the same time click on "Refresh" in your browser. This should restart the game.
If the games suddenly freeze up but the rest of your computer is OK, you may need to shut down your browser and restart your computer. This is the result of Microsoft's memory management system. It is inconsistent and only affects some computers. If this happens, you will need to close all your browser windows, restart your computer, and then reconnect and re-enter the games.

I use AOL. Can I still play the Java games?
Yes, you can. If you access the Internet via AOL and are experiencing difficulty in playing our games then the following information will provide you with a solution:
Clear Cache: To clear your cache, select "My AOL" from the menu bar. From the pull down menu, select "preferences". On the next screen, select "www", choose general, click on the delete files button and then click the ok button. While this screen is open, select the "Web Graphics" tab and UNCHECK the "Use Compressed Graphics" check box. Close all of your browser windows and restart your browser. Back to Top
I have Web TV. Can I still play the games?
Unfortunately, not at the moment. You need a Java compatible browser to play and Web TV does not yet support Java.
