vacation response

To access the following options, click "Preferences" in your left column navigation bar, then click the "Vacation Response" link. Note: This is the default option, and will put new messages into your My Way Inbox without sending a response.

Vacation Response. You can send an automatic reply to anyone who sends you a message. To enable this feature, simply enter the text of the vacation message in the field provided, then check the "Enable this vacation response" box before clicking Save.

email preferences

To access the following options, click "Preferences" in your left column navigation bar, then click the "Email Preferences" link at the top of the page.

Name: Enter your name as it would like it to appear in the "From" column of outgoing messages. If no text is entered here, your email address will be used.

Note: Many email applications are able to display the name you enter alone in the "From" column. Others will follow the name with your email address.

In most cases, this format (name followed by email address) will appear in the From field of the message itself, regardless of the Inbox format.

Reply-To Address: Specify an email address other than your My Way email address if you want recipients to reply to your messages at a different address.

For example, if you specify yourname@yourcompany.com in the Reply-to field, when your recipients receive your email and click "Reply" the return message will be sent to yourname@yourcompany.com, rather than to your My Way email acocunt.

Signature: Enter text in the Signature text box that you want to include at the bottom of all outgoing messages.

Note: By default, this signature will appear in all outgoing messages. To change this setting on a per message basis, uncheck the check box when sending a message.

Display all headers: Enable this checkbox to view header details in messages, such as Return-Path and MIME-version, by default.

Number of messages to display at once: Specify the number of messages that you would like to appear in a list of messages at one time - up to 200.

Save a copy of sent messages: Click on the "Yes" radio button to save a copy of all outgoing messages. By default, the messages will be saved in your "Sent" folder.

Compose Message Window Size: Select the size of the window which you would like as your default compose message window.

Moving and Deleting: Click on a radio button to choose to view the Original Folder or the Next Message after you delete or move a message.

email quota

Your My Way Email account has a storage space limit of either 6MB or 1,000 messages (whichever limit is reached first). You can quickly check how much storage your account is currently using in one of two ways:

1. Quota Level Bar - On your Inbox Hub page, you'll see a bar at the top-right of the page. This bar will show you roughly how much of your alloted storage space you are currently using. Below the bar will appear one of three text links, depending on the amount of free space (if any) remaining in your account: "Quota level acceptable", "Quota Warning" or "OVER QUOTA!" Click on this "Quota Level" link to view your full storage disk space summary.

2. Storage Disk Space Summary Page - You can also access your account's storage disk space summary by clicking "Preferences" in your left-column navigation, and then clicking the "Storage Disk Space Summary" link. Refer to this page to see how much of your storage quota has been used and to see the distribution of your email message in your folders.

Remember: Messages in all of your folders - including Inbox, Drafts, Sent and Trash folders - count toward your 6MB storage space limit. To free up space, delete some of your messages and then be sure to empty your trash.

message options/filtering

 •  Custom Filters
 •  Block List

Add Custom Filters to your My Way Email account

You can define up to 11 filters to route incoming emails to folders of your choosing by setting up Custom Filtering.

To do so, click on the "Preferences" link and on the left hand navigation bar while signed in to My Way Email. On the resulting page, under the heading of "Message Options/Filtering" you will see the following options:

 •  Custom Filters
 •  Block List

Click "Custom Filters" and on the resulting page and select if you want to filter by Subject, From Name, From Address, To or Cc line.

 •  Subject will look within the subject line of an incoming message
 •  From Name will filter based on the sender name of the incoming message
 •  From Address will filter based on the email address of the sender of the incoming message
 •  To or CC line will filter based on the address within the To: or Cc: line of the incoming message

 •  Select the criteria for matching the filter from either includes, doesn't include, starts with, contains word/phrase, ends with, or exactly matches.
 •  Enter the text that you would like the filter to match against
 •  Select the appropriate folder to route messages into. You can select either system folders such as "Sent" or "Trash", or folders that you created within your account.

Please be sure to check the "Enabled" check box above any filter that you are setting up in order to turn that filter on.

When you have finished setting up all your filters, click on the "Save" button at the top or bottom of the Custom Filter page. If you do not click on the "Save" button, your changes will be lost.

Moving a filter up or down in the Custom Filter Hierarchy

The My Way Custom filters are processed in the order that they are displayed in the custom filter page. If you would like to change the order of these filters, you can do so using the "Move Up" or "Move Down" buttons.

To move a filter one step towards the top of the filter hierarchy, click on the "Move Up" button to the right of that particular filter.

To move a filter one step towards the bottom of the filter hierarchy, click on the "Move Down" button to the right of that particular filter.

You can move a filter multiple steps up or down by clicking the "Move Up" or "Move Down" button multiple times.

Tips for setting up Custom Filters

 •  To create a new email folder for filtered messages, select "ADD" from the Folders pull-down menu (left column), then name the folder and click "Add".
 •  Move individual filters higher or lower on the page to establish your preferred filtering priority order. Emails meeting more than one filter's criteria will be filed by whichever filter has higher priority. (Remember to click Save after reprioritizing your list.)
 •  You may enter up to 50 characters into your filter's text box (located to the immediate left of the Move Up/Move Down buttons).
 •  You may enter only 1 email address or domain name per filter (when using the "From Address" option)
 •  When entering an email address into your filter's text box, please use the following format: sendername@domainname.com
 •  When entering a domain name into your filter's text box, please use the following format: @domainname.com

Add a Custom Block List to your My Way Email account

From Your Inbox, Trash or Personalized Folder:

If you have received an unwanted email and would like to block future emails from this address, simply:

 •  Check the box next to the incoming email and click the "Block" button.
 •  On the resulting page, choose to block either the full address, or just the domain by clicking one of the radio buttons. Then click "Save".
 •  A pop-up box will confirm your decision. Click the "ok" button.

From the Preferences Page:

If you would like to set up a block list, click on the "Preferences" link on the left hand navigation bar while signed in to My Way email. On the resulting page, under the heading of "Message Options/Filtering" you will see the following options.

 •  Custom Filters
 •  Block List

Click on "Block List"

You can add individual addresses or entire domains to your Custom Block List. To do so, enter the address or domain name to the block field and click on the "Add" button. The address/domain that you just added will be included in the block list on the right side of the page.

To remove an address from your Block List, click once on the entry from within the block list field then click on the "Remove" button. The address/domain will be removed from your Block List and messages from that address will no longer be blocked from your My Way account.

Please note that if you have set up one or more email filter rules, these will override any blocking requests. So if an incoming message with an email address or domain name that you wish blocked meets any of your filter rules, that message will be filed in the specified filter folder rather than being blocked.

More Tips for setting up a Custom Block List

 •  You may enter only 1 email address or domain name at a time
