checking external pop accounts


My Way Email also allows you to check one or more "POP" email accounts whenever you check your My Way Email account. To add a POP account to My Way Email, please follow the instructions below:

 •  While in your My Way Email account, click on the "POP Accounts" link in the left column.
 •  Click the "Add Account" button.
 •  Fill in the fields as follows:

Account Name: Create a title for your POP account. For example: My Yahoo Account
Folder: Choose the folder where you'd like email from this POP account to be placed.
Hostname: Check with your Internet Service Provider for the hostname of your email server. An example is "pop.isp.com" or "pop.mail.isp.com"
Username: Provide the first part of your POP account's email address (the characters in front of the "@" in the address). For example, if the email address you wish to check is: "user@isp.com", then your username would be "user".
Password: Use the password for the POP account that you are accessing.
Port Number: The standard port number is 110. If this number does not work, please check with your ISP for the correct port number.
Delete: Use this option to choose whether you would like your POP account messages deleted from your POP account's email server after checking them through My Way Email.
Download new messages only: Click "Yes" to download only new messages from your POP account since the last time you accessed that account.
